I wrote a blog for the local newspaper's website. During the season, I live blogged every episode and wrote a column for the same newspaper. If I wasn't eating, sleeping or working my day job, I was thinking or writing or reading about "Idol."
Then, I married a Reds fan. So there was a lot of watching Reds games in our house--something I wasn't used to. I was one of those people who abandoned baseball after the last strike and never looked back, only occasionally checking in on the Reds and making it to one game a year or so to basically watch the boats and hang out with my guy.But pretty soon, I was watching those games on TV alone. And reading stories on the Internet. And following the scuttlebutt on Twitter. And as my interest in "Idol" waned, a new obsession took hold. Check out my office at work or my office at home, and there is no doubt, I am a certified, 100% obsessed Reds fan.
And since my husband can now barely name half the active roster, the only place I've had to air my opinions is on Facebook and Twitter. But my Facebook friends are starting to get pretty sick of my constant Reds updates. So, after some inspiration from one of those friends (Hi, Levi!), I have once again entered the world of blogging to chat about my current obsession.
Please feel free to join me in the conversation. Every opinion is welcomed, but I do have the right to edit or remove any comment that I deem offensive, libelous, or slanderous. Yes, that means no cursing, even though we have all wanted to curse about the Reds at one point or another--especially this season.
You may wonder why I would launch a blog about the Reds on the last day of the season. Shouldn't I have waited until Opening Day next year? No. Because I believe this offseason will be extremely important and I am going to want to discuss every single second of it. So, my Facebook friends will be very thankful that I'm doing it here.
Let the fun begin...
